Our journey began 12/16/2020 with the birth of our daughter, Noelle Alberta Hope. Noelle had full Trisomy 18, was a strong girl in womb and stayed with us long enough to meet her big brother. After ten hours on Earth our precious daughter died in her parent’s arms, 12/17/2020.
I had decided to pump and give milk to my daughter when she was in womb and after she passed I wanted to pump and donate in her memory. From 12/17/2020 to 11/16/2021, I pumped and donated to babies all across the state of Missouri from St. Louis to Kansas City. I finished my pumping journey on 10/31/2021.
About 1658 hours, 5822.5 ounces of liquid love, pumped and donated in memory of our Noelle Alberta Hope Schwenke.
These photographs are just a highlight of our journey, the most pumped in one day was 34.5 ounces and the least in one day was a few drops. Every drop was meaningful and has helped so many. I’m forever thankful I decided to donate milk in memory, it’s been the hardest and most healing thing I’ve ever accomplished after child loss.
