Congratulations you’ll hear, some will say, However you may find hesitation enjoying your day, For it may be long ago or just yesterday that someone you knew had a child pass away, They may have only been a few weeks old or still in the womb, And your heart feels conflicted to celebrate too, I speak from the heart when I say this, it’s true, I may still be grieving my loss but I’m celebrating with you, I dream of your future and hope it comes to pass, A happy beginning at either a while of waiting or long at last, During October we honor pregnancy and infant loss for 31 days, We also remember our children all the other months in many ways, There is no need to protect my feelings or keep your joy locked away, Please share your happiness so my heart can smile with you today. Self Care, August 5th 2021

Life has felt a little upside down for the past month. So many additional responsibilities I have right now and my grief counselor reminded me to take time for myself each day, I’m trying to remember to do that even if it’s a minute here and there.

Blog Entry - Holding Onto Hope When Noelle was born she was picture perfect. You would never know she had Trisomy 18 by looking at her. I thought it was so fitting that we wrapped our little peanut in her brother’s elephant blanket. I wanted to share a side by side of our son and our daughter. She may have been little however she was long just like her brother. Our son was 7 lbs 13 oz, 20” long. Our daughter was 5 lbs 5 oz, 18” long.
