In Memory of my Grandmother, August 31st 2021

In loving memory of an incredible woman, my grandmother, Alberta Lichte. She passed peacefully in her sleep this morning, August 31st, 2021. Words can not describe how truly important she was in my life and while I’m heartbroken she is gone, she’s also no longer in pain. I have known my grandmother my entire life and used to see her every week growing up. She and my Grandpa Lichte lived so close to my childhood home and I was blessed getting to see them as often as I was able. Over the years and since we moved we cherished our time together even more. Grandma loved being a part of the family, being a grandmother and adored all her three of her great grandchildren. Grandma was lucky to get to watch Bond grow up and be a part of his life for the first seven years. When I asked Bond what his favorite part of his visit was last time we were all in town, he said it was seeing Grandma. Oh my heart how I wish he had more time with her before she passed. Blog Entry - Holding Onto Hope When Noelle was born she was picture perfect. You would never know she had Trisomy 18 by looking at her. I thought it was so fitting that we wrapped our little peanut in her brother’s elephant blanket. I wanted to share a side by side of our son and our daughter. She may have been little however she was long just like her brother. Our son was 7 lbs 13 oz, 20” long. Our daughter was 5 lbs 5 oz, 18” long.

Your Heartbeats are a Precious Melody

Dear baby, Another day, another hour, another moment together. I cherish each and every second we have together little one. I still don't know how much time you have with us. I pray it is more time than we've been told and we get to create several family memories together. Your big brother has some grand things he would like to do with you, first was singing to you, lullabies, reading stories, playing peekaboo, telling you jokes, making you laugh, and then teaching you how to crawl and walk. Yesterday I took a moment to relax because I needed to and it was a good time to check on you. At first using the home Doppler I wasn't able to find you, then once I knew where you were your heartbeats sounded strong.Then you moved of course so I searched twice more just to check on you and make sure you were ok.
