Congratulations you'll hear, some will say. October 31st 2021

 Congratulations you’ll hear, some will say,

However you may find hesitation enjoying your day,

For it may be long ago or just yesterday that someone you knew had a child pass away,

They may have only been a few weeks old or still in the womb,

And your heart feels conflicted to celebrate too,

I speak from the heart when I say this, it’s true,

I may still be grieving my loss but I’m celebrating with you,

I dream of your future and hope it comes to pass,

A happy beginning at either a while of waiting or long at last,

During October we honor pregnancy and infant loss for 31 days,

We also remember our children all the other months in many ways,

There is no need to protect my feelings or keep your joy locked away,

Please share your happiness so my heart can smile with you today.

For all those who’ve ever had infant or child loss, been there for someone who has, or walking the path of uncertainty and worried what is ahead. You’re not alone. I may still be grieving but my heart is with you. Today is your day, celebrate this moment and soak in your happiness and create your village of support.
