Blog entry - Holding onto Hope
Note to self for now and the future.
1- Love yourself. You are worthy.
2- Be ok with asking and accepting help, and embrace the support.
3- You have a wonderful, caring, loving community of people around you. People who want to help, if you don’t know what to suggest for help then offer ideas that are beneficial.
4- You are not grieving alone.
5- Get the words “I’m sorry” out of your vocabulary and please stop feeling apologetic for things. Replace with “thank you for...” instead. People want to be here for you and you have nothing to apologize for.
6- Embrace your feelings, all of them. Honor them and allow them space when needed. You will be able to take the moments much more easily when you grant yourself that self-care.
